Walk for Shelters Recap! 2024 Donation Update
What a day! The first ever Big Bear Walk for Shelters was held this past Sunday, Sept. 15th in Downtown Batavia Illinois, it turned out to be a wonderful morning to walk with friends and the community to raise money for a good cause. In total, the walk had over 150 registrations and after the shirt costs, we were able to raise a total of $1,510 for Kane County Animal Control!
We also received a generous $100 donation the morning of the walk.
**I do believe I said just over $2,300 the morning of, I apologize I got this number confused with our total 2024 donations (before the walk).**
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the community for all of the support we received on Sunday, a few months ago I was concerned that we'd be able to bring 50 people, so when 3x that amount ended up supporting the event I was truly blown away.
Special thank you to Fat Sam's for Pets for their generous donation of CBD dog cookies to the event as well as Since Seventy Five Design and Supply Co. for the outstanding 2024 Walk for Shelters designs and logos.
All of the wonderful sponsors who contributed coupons to participants:
